Comedy by Sarah Ruhl

Directed by Sam Schnitzer

Play Summary

A variation on romantic comedy by the award winning Sarah Ruhl, one of the bright young playwrights of American theater. Matilde, a Brazilian cleaning lady, sorely vexes her employer, the female half of a married American couple both of whom are M.D.'s, because Matilde hates to clean.

On the other hand, she is very intent on coming up with the funniest joke in the world. Fortunately, the wife's sister, a compulsive cleaner, secretly takes over for the maid. Unfortunately, the wife's husband falls in love with one of his patients, an Argentinian woman.

Thank you to all who auditioned. Please come back and audition again in the future. We are always looking for good volunteers!
