On behalf of the Board of Directors of Community Theatre of Terre Haute I would like to welcome you to our 84th season. We are very excited about the plays on the main stage and the Oakley theater: The Seven-Year Itch, Doubt: A Parable, Grey Gardens, The Graduate, God’s Favorite, and Yellowman. The first play, a comedy, is the original version of a famous film. The second deals with a controversial subject. We hope you stay to discuss it with us. Our musical presents the story of the eccentric relative of Jackie Kennedy. The fourth play, also a comedy, is an adaptation of film. The final play deals with Neil Simon’s view of a well-known Biblical story. The Oakley stage play examines the relationship between personal and public history in an intense two-person show. We hope that with each of these performances you experience for a few hours the magic that is live theater.
Each volunteer is part of the process of creating this magic. The joy of working on a play is having an impact no matter how small or large in creating a world that lives for a time on the stage. Everything we do at Community Theatre depends of the work of volunteers. We are always looking for new people to join us. Don’t worry if you have no experience. We will be happy to find a place for you to start and will train you to do any job that interests you. Then you too can share in the joy of bringing life to words on a page in a script. If you'd like to join the CT family fill out a volunteer data sheet).
The Community Theatre of Terre Haute operates through the sale of tickets, donations and grants. By purchasing a ticket you have helped us create a special world on the stage. We thank you for your continued support. If you have not received your 2010-2011 CT Brochure contact us, we'd love to send you one. Ticket prices are the same bargain as last year--$40 for 4 plays and a musical (you can't beat the price, order yours today! )
